Support Request: Video trouble
Description
Dear Support,
Have an issue. Want users can watch video files. So, I added to allowed programms Media Player Classic. But I cant watch video still, because "There is no programms to open this file or .mp4 is not allowed to open".
But in the same time, I can open Media Player Classic and then open .mp4 files with this programm and there is no problems. But it's not comfortable for users.
I am looking forward to having your reply.
Yours faithfully,
Stanislav An

Hello,
Is it about a mp4 file you have downloaded to the File Manager of SiteKiosk and then try to open (with double clicking it)?

Hello,
With the current SiteKiosk version the file type mp4 is not linked to an application when using the file manager of SiteKiosk.
But you can edit the corresponding “Config.xml” file at “…\SiteKiosk\Skins\Public\Media\FileManager\XML”.
Open that file with an editor (e.g. Notepad) and search for the line:
<extension types="avi,mpg,mpeg,mpe,m1v,mp2,mpv2,mp2v,mpa,wmv,wvx,asf,asx,dvr-ms,wpl,wm,wmx,wmd,wmz,mp3,wav,wma,wax,mid,rmi,midi,aiff,aif,aifc,snd,au">
Then add the file type mp4 to that line, like this:
<extension types="mp4,avi,mpg,mpeg,mpe,m1v,mp2,mpv2,mp2v,mpa,wmv,wvx,asf,asx,dvr-ms,wpl,wm,wmx,wmd,wmz,mp3,wav,wma,wax,mid,rmi,midi,aiff,aif,aifc,snd,au">
This will play the video in the SiteKiosk Player (based on Windows Media Player - ActiveX).
