Support Request: Webpage Will Not Load in SiteKiosk

Description

I am attempting to configure SiteKiosk v8.9.2821 to be able to log into our website, unfortunately the content of the main page never loads. After logging in, it acts like it's loading but never completes. The other pages load correctly. With SiteKiosk turned off, using a the web browser on the computer, everything works correctly. This log in web page has also worked correctly in previous versions of SiteKiosk.

The only changes from the original configuration is to change the skin, add three URLs to the approved list, and block everything else. (By original configuration, I mean the config you receive when hitting 'new')

Is there a way to use another browser in SiteKiosk?

What is the IE version you currently have installed in Windows? It is possible this has to do with the IE compatibility setting in Windows.

To turn off the compatibility setting in SiteKiosk, close the SiteKiosk configuration tool then open your configuration file in Notepad and search for:
<ie8-compatibility-view enabled="true" />
and change it to this:
<ie8-compatibility-view enabled="false" />

If this does not resolve the issue, let me know which IE version you are using in order to try other compatibility settings.

Save the file then test in SiteKiosk. SiteKiosk needs to be started twice for the setting to take effect so start SiteKiosk in Start Once mode then close it right after it start and run it in Start Once mode again to test the issue.

You can also try unchecking the box 'Add "SiteKiosk" to user agent header' but this option was also checked by default in previous version. This option helps if the issue is due to browser version detection by the site.

I have IE11 installed currently.

The suggestion about changeing <ie8-compatibility-view enabled="true" /> to <ie8-compatibility-view enabled="false" /> did not work but unchecking 'Add "SiteKiosk" to user agent header' solved my issue.

Thank you!
