Support Request: SiteRemote Server log files

Description

Hello,

I just configured SiteRemote Server and created a Team with 4 machines.
I receive this error "[Windows/Application] [6/24/2015 12:15 PM: Microsoft-Windows-LocationProvider] There was an error communicating to the Orion inference server" every minute on each machine.

The error is displayed on Monitoring tab from SiteRemote Server administration page.
Also, this error is saved to the logfiles. I think this is related with the location service. Can I disable it?

On one of the machines the logs were disabled because of the message log overflow "Message log overflow (more than 49 minutes)
Wednesday, June 24, 2015 11:36:32 AM The SiteRemote server received an unusual number of log entries within a short period of time. This resulted in an activation of the internal throughput limit. To conserve server resources, no more log messages will be received and recorded until the generated log volume is reduced significantly"

Thanks for support.

Hello,

>>> I receive this error "[Windows/Application] [6/24/2015 12:15 PM: Microsoft-Windows-LocationProvider] There was an error communicating to the Orion inference server" every minute on each machine.<<<
This error is being displayed to you from the Windows event log and applies to the Windows system. It is not specifically related to SiteKiosk. In the overview you also will see all Windows errors not applying to our software (Windows/System errors in the Windows event log).
For further information you can /should check it with using the Event Viewer of Windows.

>>>. Can I disable it?<<<
Alternatively you can use the “Log Message Transfer Filter” settings in your team (-->Adminsitration-->Settings) to deactivate the transfer of Windows event log messages (Windows System and Windows Application)

The warning “Message Log overflow” just means that there where a irregular high number of SiteKiosk log file entries in a certain time (more than 10000 in 24h). In that case SiteRemote stops the log transfer of the machine to SiteRemote for a while and throws that alert.

It is meant as help to check a machine which maybe has problems (which problems have occurred need to be analyzed by checking the error messages in the local log files or later at SiteRemote when more log messages have been transferred).

After solving the issue SiteRemote automatically receives the outstanding log information.
But it can take some hours or even 1-2 days (depends on how long the issue has occurred) until the log files on SiteRemote are up-to-date.
This depends on how much outstanding log information still must be transferred from the client to SiteRemote.
