Support Request: Homepage Not Loading

Description

I have 2 computers running SiteKiosk Classic. One is running fine and opening the homepage as directed. The other is hanging on a screen that says "Loading..." at the top. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Site Kiosk at least twice. Our IT department has checked all of our firewall and other security settings and have added SiteKiosk as an exception with no change except that it was previously hanging on the vault screen. The computer with this issue is running Windows 10 Pro which is up to date. I am using the Chrome browser which is up to date as well. I am out of ideas of what the problem is.

Thank you for your inquiry. So far, you have checked everything one would ask when presented a scenario like this. You had mentioned reinstalling SiteKiosk but are the devices using the same software version?: https://www.sitekiosk.com/sitekiosk-classic-windows-version-history/

SiteKiosk comes with its own browsers and is not connected to other browser software on the device. Ensure that the browser engine choice is Chrome Browser in Configuration>>"Start Page and Browser". Then, trying an updated version as well as the corresponding Chromium ZIP may help to confirm if the fix is related to the SiteKiosk Browser.

If this resolves the issue, you can continue using the new version. Otherwise, please send these files to support-america(at)sitekiosk.com for further review:

Configuration - C:\Program Files (x86)\SiteKiosk\Config (*.skcfg files, ignore *.skcfg.local)
SiteKiosk Log files - C:\Program Files (x86)\SiteKiosk\Logfiles (yyyy-mm-dd.txt files)

There is no other .skcfg file than the .skcfg.local file

I forgot to mention. The working computer is running 9.9 Build 6466. The non-working computer is running 9.9 Build 6744.

I did a complete uninstall and loaded the same version and build (9.9 Build 6466) to the non-working computer with the same results.

Hello,

From the logfiles, there is a possibility that you are running an Internet Explorer page. Without the configuration file it is difficult to confirm. If you close SiteKiosk and go to the Quick Start menu and choose Customize, it will tell you the location of your configuration file (be sure to hit Cancel).

There is only my .local file. do you want that emailed?
